So apparently I'm eight days behind in my discovery, but last night marks my most exciting find of late. Yes, even more exciting than the "Battle of Endor" Lego's I recently found, but managed to exhibit impressive will power and didn't purchase. I'm sure my reputation regarding my fondness for Bibles precedes me. It's also no secret that almost five years ago I determined that the ESV was the best translation choice available. I love my precious Calfskin Heirloom Reference Edition ESV, but for the past year I've been longing for a new Calfskin Single Column Reference. Due to concerns regarding page "ghosting" and my difficulty justifying the $130 it would cost me I've held off thus far. Tonight I'm glad I waited. I still have more waiting to do, but on August 31st of this year the Bible I've been waiting for will be released.
I've been watching for this one for years. Less than a month ago I confirmed it was in the works, but found no time-line. My only problem now is the price accompanies my premium leather taste. Even with the 35% off pre-order discount I'm still looking at $146.24 (hardcover is only $29.24) so it's a good thing I have 4 1/2 months to save. Does anyone need their lawn mowed or window's washed? As of today I'm now looking for side jobs and accepting donations. : ]
